President Julius Maada Bio has announced the sad news that his adored elder sister, Madam Agnes Deen-Jalloh, passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 74. In a heartfelt homage, President Bio referred to her lovingly as Sissy and Ngor, highlighting her vital role in his life as a source of love and strength in addition to being his sister.

President Bio, recalling their close relationship, conveyed his sincere appreciation for Madam Agnes’s constant support and direction, emphasising her nurturing influence in moulding him into the man he is today. He referred to her as his mother figure and greatest ally, and he acknowledged that her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love had a major influence on his personal and professional growth.

In a heartfelt social media post, President Bio portrayed Madam Agnes as a lovely, selfless, God-fearing woman who dedicated her life to serving humanity with assiduity and love. He grieved the immense void her loss had left in his life, but he also recognised the warmth, generosity, and wisdom she left behind.

President Bio bid his beloved Sissy a heartfelt farewell, hoping that their eternal reunion would bring them together at last. The love, compassion, and unshakable faith that characterised Madam Agnes Deen-Jalloh’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know her.

President Bio’s tribute is a testament to the strong bond between siblings and the significant influence of a loved one’s presence in moulding lives with love and grace during this time of mourning. May the memory and spirit of Madam Agnes Deen-Jalloh, who touched so many lives, be eternally treasured and may she rest in peace.
