For petroleum products availability in the Western Area Rural District, the Petroleum Regulatory Agency ( PRA) on 14th March 2024, commissioned Peak Energy Gas Station in the Sussex Community.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA), Mr Brima Baluwa Koroma, the Acting Director of Operations gave an overview of the Agency’s regulatory framework in 2014 and the statutory instrument in 2016. Director Ansumana Tunti Samura noted that the Executive Chairman is very much concerned about his key objectives in opening up the market space, making it very fair and competitive for prospective investors to maximize the available investment opportunities in the industry.

He referenced the leadership of Peak Energy Sussex Gas Station as a typical example of complementing some of the key objectives of PRA, by constructing a conducive gas station.

The Chief Executive Officer of Peak Energy Gas, CEO Cecilia, who is a renowned feminist, took it upon herself to invest in a male-dominated industry. She said that being a woman was very challenging for her from the inception of the Peak Energy Gas Station; adding that she loves the opportunity to make things right and accordingly, which is why she’s in the petroleum sector. She however assured PRA and other relevant authorities that her management and staff would duly adhere to the framework and statutory instrument of the Agency.

The representative for United Bank for Africa said that they’re happy to be part of such milestones and success story of Peak Energy Gas Station; noting that they’re valuable partners in development. Other key stakeholders; headman, SLP, LeonOil, community people and family members applauded the efforts of CEO Cecilia and pleaded for more sustainable development strides in the Sussex Community.
