The Sierra Leone Correctional Service (SLCS) recently made headlines after dismissing five prison officers involved in drug-related offences. The swift action taken by the SLCS management came after the discovery of illicit substances in the possession of several officers at the Freetown Male Correctional Centre. Officer 2CCO Musa Samura (2855) was caught with a package suspected to contain marijuana at the main entrance of the facility.
