In a significant ceremony held at State House today, His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio bid farewell to three newly appointed Ambassadors-Designate and one Deputy Ambassador-Designate. The event marked a pivotal moment as Ambassador Amara Sowa prepares to represent Sierra Leone in the United States of America, Dr. Mohamed Sesay heads to the French Republic, Philip Bob Jusu embarks on his mission to the Kingdom of Belgium, and Madam Mamadi Gobeh-Kamara steps into her role as Deputy Ambassador-Designate to France.

During the farewell, each envoy expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Bio for the trust and confidence he has placed in them. They collectively vowed to work tirelessly to enhance bilateral relations, attract foreign investments, and safeguard Sierra Leone’s interests in their respective host nations. Their commitment reflects a shared vision of promoting Sierra Leone on the international stage.

In his address, President Bio congratulated the appointees, expressing his unwavering confidence in their capabilities to serve the nation with integrity and excellence. He emphasized the importance of their roles, stating, “Sierra Leone is open for business, and I have no doubt that each of you will work diligently to strengthen our diplomatic and economic ties with your host nations.”

The President reminded the new ambassadors of the high expectations that accompany their appointments, encouraging them to uphold the dedication and excellence that have characterized their careers thus far. “A lot is expected of you all, and I trust that you will serve with the same dedication and excellence that have brought you this far. I wish you all the very best in your new roles. Congratulations and good luck,” he concluded, leaving the envoys inspired for the challenges ahead.
