Plan International’s Regional Leadership calls on Minister Chernor Bah

Hon. Alasan Senghore, Regional Director of Plan International West and Central Africa (WACA), accompanied by Evariste Sindayigaya, Sub-Regional Director for Sahel West Africa and Muniratu Issifu, Country Director of Plan International Sierra Leone, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Chernor A. Bah, who will speak about Plan International’s long partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone.
Minister Bah welcomed the delegation and described Plan International as a global development leader and one of Sierra Leone’s most trusted partners.
“Plan International has been there with Sierra Leone at every significant stage of our journey, from challenging times to national transformation. “You have been one of the country’s most reliable development partners, and your steadfast commitment to our people has made that possible,” he said.
Minister Bah shared his own story, sharing how his career as an advocate started with Plan International, which helped shape his leadership and commitment to public service. He reiterated both his and the Ministry’s commitment to increasing collaboration with Plan International in the areas of civic education, youth empowerment, public information and citizen engagement.
“Plan International is committed to supporting the development agenda of Sierra Leone and to building partnerships that create opportunities for children and young people across the country,” said Alasan Senghore on behalf of Plan International.
Evariste, on behalf of Plan International, spoke. Sindayigaya praised the Ministry’s leadership, reflecting on the quote in the Minister’s office: “Another world is possible. She is coming. “On a calm day I can hear her breathing.” He praised Minister Bah for his commitment to feminist leadership and inclusive governance, calling him an activist voice in government who remains an advocate for the rights of women, girls and youth.
