Super Advertise, an online promotion service platform operated in Sierra Leone from October 2023 to late December 2023 based on task commissions has accused Orange-SL of freezing all its accounts with the mobile operator. In a statement to their users and partners, Super advertise explained that they have “always been committed to providing users with high-quality services and a stable source of income. We know that you, as a user, have high expectations for SUPER ADVERTIS and rely on us for your livelihood. Therefore, we take this current predicament very seriously and will do our best to protect your rights. Since all SUPER ADVERTIS accounts have been frozen by the orange operator, the company cannot operate normally. We call on all users to jointly maintain SUPER ADVERTIS, communicate and defend their rights with the orange operator, and request them to unfreeze all company accounts. If the orange operator does not accept our request, this will result in the inability to complete all contracted tasks of the partner and cause the bankruptcy of SUPER ADVERTIS, which will in turn affect the inability of all users who join SUPER ADVERTIS to receive their due salaries. This is a very bad thing and Orange operators must bear the corresponding responsibility”.

Responding to the allegations, Orange-SL released a statement on January 3rd 2024 debunking the allegations. Orange-SL stated that it has no contractual relationship with Super Advertis. “We do not have any frozen account that belongs to this company on our Orange Money platform”, the statement from Orange–SL clarifies.

Orange-SL added, “Customers who have transacted on the said website are urged to contact the agent through whom the payment was made for refund processing, if necessary. In the case where an agent encounters challenges in their daily operational activities, they are aware of the procedures to follow by contacting Orange Mobile finance Back-office”.

Many Sierra Leoneans have taken to social media to express their frustrations over how Super Advertise was allowed to defraud the people of Sierra Leone with impunity. It is now confirmed that Super Advertise defrauded Sierra Leoneans over Le 9,000, 000,000.00 ($369,000.00). Victims are willing to come out and explain their ordeal. More revelations to unfold as the Investigation continues!
