The Institute of Public Administration and Management  (IPAM-USL), the leading university in Sierra Leone, is gearing up for a groundbreaking reunion and networking night on November 24, 2023. This event, which is expected to draw a vast alumni representation, will not only serve as a platform for reconnection but also mark the unveiling of a new logo and the naming of a state-of-the-art building that was constructed for lectures and other purposes.

In an exclusive interview with the event coordinator, Mrs Branda Peacock-Sawyerr, she highlighted the inspiration behind organising such a grand event. “The decision to organise this reunion was inspired by our institution’s outstanding recognition, and we want to attribute this achievement to our resourceful personnel,” said Madam Peacock-Sawyerr.

One of the key objectives of the event will be Knowledge Exchange: Fostering a strong Alumni Network by creating a knowledge-sharing platform with experienced experts.

Collaboration: Enhancing collaborative opportunities and strengthening the bond among IPAM alumni. Reconnection: Providing a platform for alumni to reconnect with each other and their alma mater.

Rebranding: Reinforcing and rebranding the IPAM spirit through the unveiling of a new IPAM Logo and the name of the state-of-the-art building that was constructed with standard lecture rooms and spaces for other purposes.

Elaborating on the significance of reunions, Mrs Peacock-Sawyerr emphasised that they play a crucial role in strengthening the bond among alumni, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating opportunities for mentorship and guidance. “Reunions build a strong reputation and positively influence the network for the institution as a whole,” she added.

The anticipation for this event is soaring, with distinguished guests, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray, the Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority, is set to unveil the new Logo. His presence is expected to attract a significant alumni turnout, further enhancing the collaborative and networking opportunities that IPAM-USL envisions.

As the countdown begins, IPAM-USL looks forward to a night of celebration, knowledge exchange and the rekindling of the IPAM spirit among its esteemed alumni.
