Six newly appointed ambassadors presented their letters of credence to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, marking the official start of their missions in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Yusuf Burak Rende, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye; H.E. Dr. Senator Kwabla Yawlui, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana; H.E. Mr. Baisnab Charan Pradhan, the Ambassador of the Republic of India; H.E. Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Pankyu Kim, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea; H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, the Ambassador of the Republic of Japan; and H.E. Mr. Luc Briard, the Ambassador of the Republic of France.

During the ceremony, President Bio extended a warm welcome to the ambassadors and reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to cultivating productive partnerships that serve mutual interests. He underscored the vital role diplomacy plays in fostering peace, development, and economic progress within the region and beyond. “Sierra Leone is dedicated to being a trustworthy partner in the global community as we collectively confront various challenges and enhance bilateral relations,” President Bio remarked.
