Sierra Leone’s new Ambassador-designate to Türkiye, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson, PhD, has engaged staff members of the Embassy and urged them to embrace teamwork to achieve efficiency and productivity at the workplace.

Whilst making her maiden address in a well-attended meeting, Her Excellency Ambassador Anderson thanked the Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassador Paul A.S Minah, for holding the fort during the transition process, saying that an institution can only achieve lofty dreams when they work collectively as a team.

Ambassador Francess Anderson noted from the onset that she was going to rebrand Sierra Leone’s image in Türkiye and also to look for reliable partners and investors, who she said would translate the vision of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio of rebranding and developing Sierra Leone.

“Türkiye is a critical player and partner to Africa; there is a lot we can achieve together with the host country. Let us all gear up for the task ahead. Thank you, and let us do this together”, she urged.

Earlier at the meeting, the Head of Chancery, Mrs. Clara Fatmata Koroma, welcomed and congratulated Ambassador Anderson to Türkiye on her assumption of duty, saying that she took office at a time when the bilateral relationships between Sierra Leone and Turkiye were growing exponentially.

Mrs. Clara Koroma further noted that the entire staff members were highly spirited and willing to support Ambassador Anderson in breaking great records, as she did in Ghana.

“With your success stories in Accra, Ghana, we are hopeful that we will translate that same Accra success in Türkiye. Welcome, Your Excellency and thank you”, she concluded.

Similar sentiments and welcome messages were shared by Ambassador Paul A.S Minah, Deputy Head of Mission, who described Ambassador Anderson as an experienced diplomat and academic and an industrious woman whose success stories he said would speak for themselves.
