Sierra Leonean fintech company Flot has launched a countrywide promotional campaign to encourage more customers to link their mobile wallets to bank accounts. The campaign will select 40 cash winners each Friday, with a grand prize trip for two to Dubai at the end of the campaign.
The initiative, “Link & Win”, will run for 13 weeks from 1st October to 31st December 2026 and is being implemented in partnership with Zenith Bank Sierra Leone and Sky Bank Sierra Leone. Ecobank Sierra Leone will be joining the program in the coming weeks. Customers will automatically qualify for weekly prize draws by linking their eligible bank account to their Flot wallet and making a transaction by transferring money from their wallet to their account, or vice versa.
Every Friday during the campaign, 40 customers will win cash prizes ranging from SLE 200 to SLE 2,000. One customer will win a trip for two to Dubai at the end of the 13 weeks. The draws will be conducted transparently in accordance with the published campaign conditions, and the winners will be announced every Friday through the company’s official communication channels, Flot said. You don’t have to buy anything. Standard transaction fees may apply to enter the promotion.
“Link & Win seeks to bridge the gap between mobile wallets and traditional banking and make routine financial transactions more rewarding,” said David Kpakima, Chief Executive Officer of Open Banking Hub, the company behind the Flot platform. “Link & Win bridges that gap. “Connect your account, move your money as modern economies do, and every Friday, an ordinary transaction becomes an extraordinary win,” said Kpakima. The campaign aims to bring more people into the formal financial system, he added.
Flot and its banking partners will also help customers without bank accounts, or those with dormant accounts, open or reactivate their accounts and connect them to their wallets so they can participate as well. This outreach is part of a broader effort to increase access to formal financial services across the country, the company said.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Sierra Leone, Ugochukwu Irechukwu, said the partnership reflects the bank’s focus on innovation and customer-centric service. “When a customer connects a wallet to a bank account, they’re not just entering a draw. “They are coming into the formal financial system, and all that means: security, records, credit history and access,” Irechukwu said, noting the longer-term benefits of having an official account beyond the immediate prizes.
He said it was a step toward modernising banking habits and encouraging account activity. “An active and linked bank account can enhance an individual’s financial profile and also stimulate economic activity at large by increasing the flow and traceability of funds through formal channels,” Adeniye said.
To be eligible for Link & Win, customers must download the Flot application or open an existing Flot wallet, complete the required verification process, and link the wallet to an eligible Zenith Bank or Sky Bank account. Once the wallet and bank account are linked, customers must complete qualifying transactions by transferring funds between the Flot wallet and the linked bank account. Customers will be automatically entered into the weekly Friday draw for qualifying transactions.
“Flot pointed to the transparency of the selection process, stating that the full campaign rules, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions are available through its communications channels. The company reiterated that no special payment is required to access the service, other than normal transaction fees, and that partner banks would help eligible customers open or reactivate accounts to broaden participation.
