All of the participants in the recent referee development course held in Sierra Leone received heartfelt congratulations from FIFA Fitness Instructor Cherifi Nasreddine, who also praised their exceptional dedication and professionalism during the training. “This is a proud moment for the country as a whole, not just for the participants,” Nasreddine said. It illustrates the notable advancements in Sierra Leonean referee development. Kudos to all who participated!

The rigorous program, which drew referees from all over the nation, was intended to raise fitness standards, advance technical expertise, and raise officiating standards generally in compliance with FIFA’s exacting standards. Under Nasreddine’s expert guidance, the training sessions witnessed remarkable preparation and enthusiasm from the referees, showcasing their dedication to improving their skills.

Nasreddine’s praise is a major accomplishment for the country’s football community and demonstrates Sierra Leone’s consistent progress in referee development on the global scene. He also praised the crucial roles played by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), its Referees Department, and all other participants who put in a lot of effort behind the scenes to make this project a success.

This milestone marks Sierra Leone’s growing investment in football infrastructure and human capital, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering commitment to upholding international standards in the sport and producing a new generation of qualified referees.
