President Julius Maada Bio's daughter, Agnes Bio

According to sources close to Sierra Leone’s first family, President Julius Maada Bio’s daughter, Agnes Bio, is allegedly expecting the child of notorious Dutch criminal Jos Leijdekkers. This revelation has sparked outrage in Sierra Leone and the Netherlands, where Leijdekkers is one of the most wanted people.

Jos Leijdekkers is serving a 24-year open sentence in the Netherlands for multiple crimes, with an additional 23-year sentence pending in Belgium. Despite his criminal history, Leijdekkers appears to have begun a new life in West Africa, specifically Sierra Leone. The Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad and the research platform Follow The Money discovered videos of him interacting with high-ranking officials, including President Bio and his daughter Agnes.

According to reports, Leijdekkers has significant financial interests in Sierra Leone and is accused of bribing government officials. His influence appears to extend to the highest levels of power, as evidenced by video footage of him partying with the head of the immigration service and the drug police chief. Such associations raise serious concerns about the extent of his criminal activities in the region.

The story’s most unexpected element is the rumored romantic relationship between Leijdekkers and Agnes Bio. According to De Telegraaf, the couple may have become engaged, and Agnes is reportedly expecting a child.

Leijdekkers, who reportedly goes by the alias Omar Sherrif, could potentially advance his status by marrying into the presidential family.

This development would strengthen his ties to Sierra Leone’s political elite while also complicating efforts to extradite him to the Netherlands.

This relationship may have significant implications for Sierra Leone’s political landscape and the ongoing pursuit of justice for Leijdekkers’ crimes. The intersection of criminal activity and political power raises critical issues concerning regional governance and law enforcement.
