Hon. Mohamed Sheridan Kamara

Hon. Mohamed Sheridan Kamara, a Member of Parliament for the All People’s Congress Party in the North West Region of Kambia, is facing accusations of duping an American businessman, Amadu Kamara, in a land deal worth $39,000.

The money was a partial payment for a parcel of land located at 34 Fourah Bay Road in Freetown, Sierra Leone’s Western Area. However, it was later discovered that the property was not rightfully owned by Hon. Sheridan Kamara, but by a close relative of his. Amadu Kamara attempted to take possession of the property but was unsuccessful when he found out that Hon. Sheridan was only in charge of the property, which belonged to his uncle.

Hon. Sheridan agreed to reimburse Mr. Kamara for the total sales price of $43,000, including the full $10,500 interest that accrued from his failure to transfer the property. Despite this agreement, Hon. Sheridan has been avoiding making the payment.

Documentary evidence shows that Hon. Mohamed Sheridan Kamara had agreed to refund the total sale price to Mr Amadu Kamara and pay the full interest amount for the delay in transferring the property. However, he has not fulfilled his promise, leading to further complications in the matter.

The American businessman, Mr Amadu Kamara, is now seeking legal action to recover his money and interest from Hon. Mohamed Sheridan Kamara. The failure to honour the agreement has caused distress and financial loss to Mr Kamara, who trusted Hon. Sheridan with the transaction.

The situation has raised concerns about the integrity and honesty of public officials, especially those in positions of power. The case highlights the need for transparency and accountability in dealings involving public figures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

As the dispute continues, the public awaits further developments in the case, hoping for a resolution that will uphold justice and fairness for all parties involved.
