Africell Sierra Leone has officially kicked off its much-anticipated annual Ramadan initiative, the ‘Na Yu Get’ show, which will reward subscribers with a total of 500,000 new Leones in cash prizes throughout the holy month. The official launch event took place at Africell’s headquarters located at 1 Pivot Street, Wilberforce Village, Freetown, where company representatives expressed their commitment to honouring customers and fostering the spirit of Ramadan.

During the launch, Abdul Karim Sesay, the Media Manager of Africell Sierra Leone, emphasized that the ‘Na Yu Get’ show is part of the company’s ongoing tradition to infuse excitement and educational content for subscribers during Ramadan. Sesay assured attendees that this year’s show would be more engaging than ever, reflecting Africell’s dedication to giving back to the community and enhancing the festive atmosphere of the holy month.

Joe Abass Bangura, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Africell Sierra Leone, underscored the company’s long-standing practice of celebrating significant occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and Ramadan. He pointed out that this year’s show is particularly meaningful as it coincides with Africell’s 20th anniversary in Sierra Leone and 25 years of operation across Africa.

“This year, we are making Ramadan extra special. We are also celebrating our loyal subscribers who have been with Africell for two decades,” Bangura stated, adding that the initiative would positively impact numerous households. Participation Details Kamada Koroma, Africell’s Marketing and Communications Manager, shared that the ‘Na Yu Get’ show will be broadcast live every weekday from 8 PM to 9 PM on AYV TV, the Africell Facebook page, Afriradio, and several major radio stations throughout the nation.

Each day, ten fortunate winners will be selected to receive prizes, and Koroma encouraged customers to join in the fun by following these simple steps: 1. Dial *777# or call 777 2. Purchase and register a new Africell SIM 3. Buy airtime via Afrimoney In addition, John Konteh, the Director of Communication and Marketing, announced an exciting rice giveaway designed to assist subscribers during Ramadan. Afrimoney will distribute five cups of rice to 20,000 individuals nationwide using two distribution trucks—one in Freetown and another in the provinces. “To qualify for this giveaway, customers need to purchase a Ramadan bundle for Le10 and dial 1613*6#,” Konteh explained.

Subscribers will also receive additional benefits such as airtime, data, and SMS upon redeeming their rice package. Furthermore, Konteh highlighted a limited-time offer of a 10% cashback on any ESDA recharge made between the 1st and 10th of every month, providing an added incentive for customers to engage with Africell’s services.

The inaugural episode of ‘Na Yu Get’ is set to air on Monday, March 3, 2025, marking the beginning of a month filled with excitement, rewards, and community involvement. With Africell’s unwavering commitment to innovation and social responsibility, this year’s Ramadan Show is poised to deliver a memorable experience for subscribers throughout Sierra Leone.
