Merhi Baydoun, General Manager - HBS       Late Alie Thullah        Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu

In a troubling turn of events, H. Baydoun & Sons (HBS), a prominent dealer in power generation and industrial equipment, is facing serious allegations of bribing police officers to conceal negligence that may have contributed to the tragic death of Alie Thullah, a student from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM). Alie Thullah, who was dispatched to one of HBS’s facilities for an electronic installation, mysteriously went missing after arriving on-site, only to be found dead the following day. It has been a month since his untimely death, yet authorities have yet to make any arrests or file charges against the company or its employees. The circumstances surrounding Alie’s death remain murky, raising serious questions about the company’s accountability and the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

According to insider reports, HBS attempted to downplay the incident, keeping the details under wraps until a whistleblower stepped forward.

This revelation has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting family members of the deceased to voice their deep concerns regarding the investigation’s integrity. They suspect that the police may be compromising the inquiry, potentially influenced by the alleged bribes from HBS.

The family is demanding transparency and justice, urging law enforcement to take decisive action against those responsible for Alie’s death. As the community grapples with this distressing situation, the spotlight remains on H. Baydoun & Sons and the police’s role in ensuring accountability in a case that has captured public attention and raised serious ethical questions.

H. Baydoun & Sons and Sierra Leone Police could not be reached for comment. More details next edition!
