Mercury International, Sierra Leone’s leading sports betting operator, has launched a major end-of-year double promotion through its online betting platform, offering six grand prizes totaling $120,000. The company launched the Vegas and Sports raffles at a ceremony at Gigibonta on Lumley Beach Road on August 24. The campaign is positioned as a high-value opportunity to provide festive season uplift to Sierra Leonean customers.
Mercury’s Managing Director, Martin E. Michael, stated that the promotion is part of their ongoing efforts to increase customer rewards and provide life-changing opportunities. “We just finished our last launch, where we gave away a house, and now, as we approach the Christmas season, we are back with even bigger rewards,” he said, announcing the prizes that will be awarded at the end of the campaign.

The Vegas Game Raffle offers three top prizes: a new Jetour TI 2026 model car, an automatic scooter, and an 85-inch smart television. These prizes are available to online customers who qualify by playing on Mercury’s Vegas product. The Sports Raffle, open only to sports betting customers, will award three winners with a two-bedroom house at Taff Salone, a TVS tricycle (known locally as a “Kekeh”), and a Lifan motorcycle.
“This is a record-breaking promotion, and we look forward to handing over the prizes in January 2027,” Michael said. The company aims to make the draws transparent and meaningful. “These raffles are real. We’re not here to pretend.”
Octavus Jackson, Deputy Online Manager, explained the mechanics of eligibility and ticket accumulation. Prospective participants must create an online account by going to mercurybet.com. To obtain a ticket for the Vegas Raffle draw, a customer must accumulate NLe250 in ticket costs; for the Sports Raffle, the accumulated ticket cost is NLe50. Jackson emphasized that the scheme is intended to reward regular play, and Mercury provides generous bonuses in addition to raffle entries.

“Every player is a winner. We are generous in awarding bonuses. “Bet with the best,” Jackson said, adding that Mercury’s promotions are designed to provide substantial and immediate benefits to winners. “Mercury is doing what would normally take a lifetime to secure a house; with Mercury, you can get a house, a Kekeh, a car, or a bike in no time,” he said.
Alhaji Komba, Public Relations Manager, framed the campaign as part of the company’s broader social mission. “Mercury International is not just about betting; it’s about making Sierra Leoneans happy,” he said, emphasising that the promotion is designed to generate excitement and tangible support for customers during the holidays.
Both raffles will take place from August 24, 2026, to January 3, 2027, with the grand prize handover ceremony scheduled for January 2027. Mercury International encouraged customers to register and participate as soon as possible in order to increase their chances of obtaining tickets and taking advantage of the company’s seasonal bonuses and promotions.
