On July 23, 2024, Africell Sierra Leone unveiled its latest initiative, the “Old is Gold” promotion, aimed at rewarding loyal customers with a chance to win millions of Leones prizes. This campaign underscores Africell’s commitment to valuing and appreciating its longstanding users.

Nancy Joseph Toure, Head of Events and Sponsorship at Africell explained that the “Old is Gold” promotion is inspired by the important roles that elders play in family settings. “With the ‘Old is Gold’ promotion, our old customers will have the opportunity to reactivate their oldAfricell numbers and rejoin the Africell family,” she said.

Reactivating old numbers is simple. Customers can either insert their old SIM cards into any phone or visit any Africellpoint of sale (POS) nationwide for assistance.

The Assistant Media Manager for Africell, Abdul Aziz Kamara, highlighted additional benefits of the promotion.”Customers who reactivate their old Africell numbers will automatically qualify for the ‘Old is Gold’ draw, where they can win attractive prizes,” Kamara said. Prizes range from airtime and data to cash, with a surprise star prize for weekly winners.

Kamara announced that the draw will be broadcast live every Friday on major radio and television stations across the country. He reassured former Africell users that they could reclaim their old numbers through this promotion. “AtAfricell, we highly value customer loyalty and are always thrilled to hear how long our customers have been part of the theAfricell family,” Kamara added.
