The 55th Choir Anniversary celebration of the National Pentecostal Church, Congo Cross, ended in grand style with excitement and unity.

Team Blue won the coveted Fatmata Bayinka Trophy with a 1-0 victory over Team White, making the football match the event’s highlight.

The friendly “comic match” was not just a game.

The event allowed church members, particularly the choir, to showcase their talents beyond regular worship, bringing joy and camaraderie to all who attended.

“With hearts full of gratitude and joy, we express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the resounding success of the recently concluded 55th Choir Anniversary celebration.

Brother Momoh, one of the event organisers, stated in an exclusive interview that the anniversary was more than just an event; it was a divine encounter.

He went on to say, “We are grateful to many, but most of all to God Almighty for a successful celebration.” We sincerely thank and honour each choir member whose voices lifted hearts and souls to celestial harmony. Your unwavering dedication, spiritual preparation, and musical excellence transformed the event into a sanctuary of praise that resonated far beyond the venue’s walls.”

Brother Momoh also praised Choirobert M. Kamara for his leadership and organisational skills, which contributed to such a memorable celebration. He thanked Mrs Fatmata Baby Bayinka and her family for their tireless efforts to ensure the program’s success.

Mrs Bayinka, the trophy’s sponsor, spoke from the United States, saying she was very impressed with the outcome of the event.

She revealed that some of her closest friends and family members have already expressed an interest in continuing the tournament as an annual tradition. “I will continue to contribute in my own way to the church, which is very dear to my heart,” she said, adding that God’s work has no losers.
