At the ongoing 2023 World Triathlon Development Regional Cup in Saly, Senegal, Sierra Leone’s Hawa Jawara won a silver medal in the youth category.
She was defeated by Senegal. Kenya secured the championships for both the male and female Elite Category events, followed by Senegal in both 2nd and 3rd positions. Minkailu M Conteh and Ibrahim A Turay secured the 5th and 6th positions, respectively.
For the Elite Female Category, Kadijatu M Sankoh took the 4th position. Karim Mansaray and Fofanah Alhaji Saccoh secured 4th and 5th places in the Male Youth Category, with Senegal securing both 1st and 2nd positions. The youth category is those born between 2008 and 2011.
