Auditors from the Audit Service Sierra Leone have discovered that the Petroleum Regulatory Authority (PRA) recruited 17 personnel in 2022 without following the appropriate recruitment procedures to make the process open, competitive and transparent. “This was evidenced by the fact that there were no relevant supporting documents like advertisements, application letters and invitation letters to attend interviews to justify that the correct procedures were followed, the Report stated. Auditors recommended that the Human Resources Manager should make available to the ASSL, the relevant documentary evidence in support of the 17 personnel recruited, but the finding was not responded to.
