Climaxed By Prize Giving Ceremony: Sunhak School Marks Foundation Day

The Sunhak School on 8th February 2024, held its Foundation Day and Prize Giving Ceremony at the school grounds.

The Principal, Mr.  Alpha M. Koi, declared the program open with prayers in both Christian and Muslim religions. Some Mission Members, School Administrators and staff, pupils, parents, invited stakeholders and guests were all present to commemorate this wonderful day, which took place in the school compound.   

Mr. Alpha M.  Koi continued by emphasizing the importance of the Foundation Day and Prize Giving Ceremony, recalling the date the school was founded, the number of pupils and teachers that started the school in that school year and up to date. 

Mr.  Moriba and other guest speakers also gave their submissions, which were based on the principles of the mission and the school. 

Furthermore, 80 deserving present and past pupils and teachers were recognized for their immense performance, based on their cognitive and extracurricular activities for the past years. Gifts and certificates were given to all those identified individuals.  A musical set was hired and different groups of pupils performed to grace the memorable day.  

Gifts and certificates were awarded to the following categories: 

1. Class performance (1st and 2nd promotional passes) from Nursery 1 to SSS 3 2022/2023 academic year.  

2. Longest serving pupils.  

3. Best male footballer of the year 

4. Best female footballer of the year. 

5. Best male athletes of the year 

6. Best female athletes of the year. 

7. Neatness of pupils in both Primary and Secondary.  

8. Most punctual pupils for Primary and Secondary.  

9. Best past NPSE, BECE and WASSCE pupils of the year.  

10. Oldest and most consistent staff and more.  

This was followed by the Thanksgiving Service on 11th February 2024 in the school compound. Four (4) sets of brass bands were hired for the children, parents, the school administration and guests to march around the Allen Town Community.
