“To get to Ghana, I have to visit the team delegation,” Dr. Sengeh stated. “This is the continent’s biggest sports platform, and President Bio’s administration takes this game seriously.” “Before proceeding, it is my responsibility as a humble servant of the President and the People of the Republic of Sierra Leone, to see the delegation and offer encouragement.”
The Sports Minister and her team’s efforts to advocate for more funding for sports were acknowledged by the Chief Minister. To give the nation’s athletes the means to succeed in the global arena, he promised to keep pushing for more funding for sports.
Dr Sengeh was met at the Lancaster Hotel by NOC President, Prince Vandy Sually, NSA Executive Director, Dr Kenneth Brima, and Minister of Sports, Augusta James-Teima before he met with the athletes and officials.
