In a bid to alleviate the stress of cash shortages during emergencies, Afrimoney, Sierra Leone’s rapidly growing mobile money service, has launched the “Sen fo Mi” service. This innovative solution aims to assist users in urgent situations where immediate funds are needed. Picture this: you’re in a hospital needing basic first-aid treatment but lack cash, or you’re in a Kehkeh (local taxi) with a driver threatening to drop you off midway due to your cashless state. Or perhaps you’re caught up in a thrilling Premier League match but can’t top up your EDSA meter because your mobile wallet is empty.

These are common scenarios that many face daily, and Afrimoney aims to provide a remedy. With the new “Sen fo Mi” service, Afrimoney subscribers can easily request a small amount of money from friends or family in times of need. To make a request, users simply dial 1611*3# from their Africel number, enter the recipient’s number, specify the amount, state the reason for the request, input their PIN, and hit SEND. While the recipient has the option to accept or decline the request, “Sen fo Mi” offers a secure, convenient way for individuals to support their loved ones during stressful moments.

John Konteh, Afrimoney’s Director of Marketing, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and enhancing the quality of life for its subscribers. “Afrimoney is dedicated to revolutionizing mobile money transactions while fostering a sense of community and support among users,” he stated. With “Sen fo Mi,” Afrimoney continues to solidify its position as a leading mobile money solution in Sierra Leone, promising to introduce more products and services that prioritize user needs.
