In a joyful celebration, Africell proudly announced Mr. Sahr Komba Sheku Ngaujah as the second grand winner of its exciting “Old is Gold” promotion. Mr Ngaujah was presented with a stunning Valcambi Suisse gold bar worth over 46 million new Leones at the event, which was full of excitement and anticipation. Overjoyed, Mr. Ngaujah expressed his gratitude, saying, “I began using Africell two years after the company began operations in Sierra Leone. My SIM card is older than my first daughter. Despite losing it twice, I have always replaced my special phone number.

Mr. Ngaujah took advantage of this opportunity to encourage other Africell subscribers with old SIM cards to reactivate their numbers. He emphasized that Africell has many more rewards planned for its loyal customers, urging them to take advantage of the ongoing promotions.

Abdul Aziz Kamara, Africell’s Assistant Media Manager, also spoke at the event and reiterated the company’s commitment to rewarding customer loyalty. “The ‘Old is Gold’ promotion is intended to encourage our loyal customers to reactivate their old SIM cards. It is also a prelude to the company’s upcoming 20th anniversary,” Abdul Aziz explained. He emphasized the importance of customer engagement, stating that Africell considers its subscribers to be family. The company is committed to giving back to its most loyal customers through various promotions.

Abdul Aziz also encouraged all subscribers to reactivate their old SIM cards by inserting them into any phone or visiting an Africell point of sale (POS) nationwide.

Africell also recognized Abu Bakarr Bah as the monthly winner of the “Win Korpor” promotion, awarding him a prize of fifteen thousand new Leones. Mr. Bah, a loyal customer for sixteen years, expressed his delight, saying, “Before this, I had never received a promotion, but I remained loyal to the company, and now I have been rewarded.” He also advised potential winners to be wary of fraudsters who may try to exploit winners of various promotions.

Through these initiatives, Africell is strengthening its customer relationship by celebrating loyalty and encouraging engagement and participation in its promotions.
