SLBL Awards Long-Serving Partners

At a conference attended by SLBL’s Management Team and Key Distributors from across Sierra Leone, aimed to address the challenges faced in 2023 and strategies for better customer service in 2024, key distributors were acknowledged for their crucial role in ensuring the efficient distribution of SLBL products to meet the market’s growing demand and customer satisfaction. 

One notable aspect highlighted during the conference was SLBL’s dedication to women’s empowerment in Sierra Leone, with over 80% of its key distributors being women. Despite the challenges faced in the business landscape during 2023 and 2024, SLBL expressed confidence in its ability to consistently provide satisfactory customer service by ensuring the availability of its products at affordable prices. To enhance its service in the coming year, SLBL emphasized its ambition to increase its volume by focusing on winning brands, channels, and distributors to maximize market penetration. Currently, SLBL collaborates with 13,654 outlets across Sierra Leone. 

In recognition of the exceptional work done by its long-serving distributors, SLBL awarded the following distributors under various categories: Long Service Award: 1. Sugar Loaf 2. Hawa Foday 3. Kasasa GP Best Payer: 1. Sugar Loaf 2. Mary and Sons 3. Mems Compliant To Dde: 1. Hawa Foday 2. Bayco 3. Parrilla. 

During the conference, the Managing Director of SLBL, Ayokunle Owoniyi, dispelled rumours circulating on social media and assured the distributors that SLBL had no plans to close its operations. He called upon distributors and other stakeholders to continue working together to sustain SLBL for the next 62 years and beyond. He further assured that SLBL would keep engaging with important stakeholders and recognizing their contributions to improving SLBL’s services for the benefit of Sierra Leone. 

The distributors expressed their happiness and made commitments to continue collaborating with SLBL to support their families and the families of their employees. The conference took place at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Freetown, providing a platform for fruitful discussions and strengthening relationships between SLBL and its Key Distributors.
