23 June 2026 — The National Revenue Authority (NRA), in collaboration with Blue Ribbon Solutions SL Limited, has increased efforts to modernise revenue collection by training regional Ministry of Lands, Housing, and County Planning staff on the Non-Tax Revenue (NTR) Mobile Payment App. The session, held at the Youyi Building in Freetown, combined hands-on instruction with live demonstrations to ensure that participants gained practical skills for using the new digital platform.

The training was designed to familiarise regional officers with the NTR Mobile App’s payment workflow, transaction verification, and reporting features, allowing for a more seamless transition from manual to standardised electronic systems. To support the nationwide rollout, the NRA officially handed over fourteen (14) tablets to the Ministry, which were received by Deputy Minister of Lands, Mrs. Phylis Kapu Kormoh, who attended the event.

Mr Abdulrahman M. Fofana, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, described the initiative as a significant step forward in the ministry’s digital transformation strategy. He encouraged employees to fully embrace the technology, emphasising how it will improve service delivery and operational efficiency across regional offices. Mrs Ann-Marie Baby Harding, Deputy Commissioner-General 1 of the NRA, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to working with the Ministry of Lands, emphasising the importance of digital solutions in achieving greater efficiency, transparency, accountability, and convenience in revenue administration.

Acting Professional Head of Lands, Mr Tamba S. Dauda, praised the NTR Mobile App for improving revenue verification and accountability, pointing out its clear advantages over previous manual systems. The training and equipment handover are part of the NRA’s overall strategy to use technology to improve revenue administration and public service delivery across government institutions.
