In light of a recent fire incident at the State House on April 12, 2025, E-Fire Safety and Logistics Services took the initiative to demonstrate its advanced smoke detection and fire alarm systems to staff members of the Ministry of Works and Public Assets (MWPA). The demonstration, held in the Ministry’s main Conference Hall at New England Ville, aimed to educate and equip key ministry personnel with essential fire safety knowledge and technology.

The event attracted high-ranking officials, senior management, and technical staff, all eager to learn about the state-of-the-art fire safety solutions offered by E-Fire Safety. The showcased system is designed to enhance emergency preparedness within public institutions through features such as early smoke detection, real-time alarm alerts, centralised monitoring, and well-coordinated evacuation protocols. These advancements are critical in ensuring a swift response to fire emergencies, thereby protecting lives and property.

Mr. Alpha B.H. Sheriff, the Director and Co-founder of E-Fire Safety, addressed the audience, emphasising the importance of addressing fire safety concerns in public facilities. “Our goal is to equip public institutions with technology that safeguards lives and property before a situation escalates,” he stated, highlighting the proactive approach necessary for effective fire prevention.

The demonstration included a live simulation that allowed attendees to witness firsthand the automatic activation of alarms and emergency responses triggered by simulated smoke. This practical exercise provided valuable insights into how the system functions in real-life scenarios, reinforcing the importance of preparedness.

Participants were also informed about the essential maintenance procedures required for the system and how it can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure. This information is vital for ensuring that the technology remains effective and reliable over time.
In her remarks, Deputy Minister of Works and Public Assets, Mrs. Christiana Queen Fofanah, underscored the necessity of prioritising fire prevention across all public institutions. She noted that the demonstration not only raised awareness but also illustrated the importance of investing in smart, dependable fire safety systems to protect both lives and national infrastructure.

Minister of Works and Public Assets, Dr. Denis M. Sandy, commended the initiative and acknowledged the pressing need to enhance fire safety standards. He referred to the State House fire as a wake-up call, urging all stakeholders to take proactive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. “This demonstration by E-Fire Safety illustrates what is possible with the right tools,” he remarked.

Dr. Sandy also pointed out that the fire incident, which was contained without any reported injuries, has intensified calls for comprehensive fire risk assessments across all government facilities. He concluded by stating that the demonstration represents a significant step toward modernising fire prevention efforts and ensuring the safety of government assets and personnel.
