The Ministry of Sports (MoS) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) congratulate Mohamed Kallon on his new role as head coach of Sierra Leone’s national football team, the Leone Stars.

This significant role comes at an important time, as Kallon is expected to lead the team through the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

In their statement, the Ministry and NSA wished Kallon success in this difficult position. They emphasised their commitment to providing unwavering support throughout his tenure, ensuring he has access to the resources required to help the team succeed.

Furthermore, the Ministry and NSA acknowledged the contributions of former head coach, Amidu Karim, thanking him for his dedication and service to Sierra Leone football. They wished him success in his future endeavours.

The Ministry and NSA urged all Sierra Leoneans, particularly football fans, to come together and support Coach Kallon and the Leone Stars as they strive for international success.
