His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio officiated the oath-taking ceremony for Madam Saptieu Elizabeth Saccoh, who has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Justice. During the ceremony, Madam Saccoh took the oath of office, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to President Bio for the confidence he has placed in her.

She emphasized her commitment to fulfilling her duties diligently and effectively, vowing to contribute positively to the Ministry of Justice’s objectives. “I will work closely with my immediate boss, the Minister of Justice, to ensure we effectively deliver on our responsibilities,” she stated, underlining her dedication to serving the government and the citizens of Sierra Leone. President Bio, in his remarks, congratulated Madam Saccoh on her new appointment and highlighted the weighty responsibilities that accompany her role.

He acknowledged that while the Minister of Justice would oversee her tasks, he was confident in her capabilities to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. “A lot has been achieved, but there is still much work to be done. You can count on my full support as you take on this important role,” he reassured her. The ceremony was graced by senior government officials, members of the judiciary, and various dignitaries, marking a momentous occasion for the Ministry of Justice and the nation.
