On January 31, 2025, a lively crowd gathered at Family Kingdom in Aberdeen, Freetown, as A Call To Business Bank (ACTB) revealed Esther Finda Dauda of Wilkinson Road as the winner of a brand-new Suzuki vehicle valued at $13,000. The grand draw, conducted electronically, was filled with excitement as attendees, including financial sector leaders, ACTB staff, and customers from across the nation, eagerly awaited the announcement of the lucky winner. Esther, who joined ACTB just a few months prior, participated in the ‘Save N Win Babala Promotion’ launched on June 10, 2024.

This engaging initiative allowed ACTB customers to win monthly prizes, ranging from freezers and televisions to mobile phones and Bluetooth speakers. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the grand prize—a stunning Suzuki that captured the attention of all participants. To qualify for the grand prize, customers needed to save a minimum of NLe 5,000 per month or NLe 30,000 over six months, making the promotion accessible to a wide array of customers. Before the main draw, three additional winners were announced for the December 2024 monthly draw: Rebecca Yomba Morsay, Isata Jalloh, and Francis Boima adding to the evening’s excitement.

ACTB’s Marketing Manager, Rockslyn Alwyn Findlay, praised the promotion as a groundbreaking initiative that fulfilled its promises. He expressed pride in the bank’s journey from a microfinance institution to a fully licensed bank since 2018, highlighting the significant impact ACTB has had on the community. Michael Kamara, Managing Director of Gem Micro Finance, lauded ACTB’s rapid success, attributing it to strong leadership.

Auditor Fatmata Steven, from Baker Tilley, confirmed the fairness and transparency of the draw process, ensuring every customer had an equal chance to win. As the event culminated with Esther’s name being drawn, her initial disbelief quickly transformed into joy and gratitude. She expressed heartfelt thanks to ACTB and God for her unexpected victory. The evening concluded with testimonials from past winners, reinforcing the positive impact of the promotion on their lives. ACTB’s ‘Save N Win Babala Promotion’ not only celebrated its winners but also demonstrated the bank’s commitment to enriching the lives of its customers and fostering a sense of community.
